Master the word: translation from Hebrew

I would like to know how to master the word.
The word that is written on parchment or a paper,
carved in stone or just spoken onto the air,
its voice saturated by power to create worlds.
A man is not but a receptacle.
He can hear, be heard and actually speak
but he stays as a blind in the world,
aided by a Seeing Eye dog that has been tamed and trained by poet's writings.

I want to open my eyes,
to see those things that are treasured
and come back to tell the world
wild words, noble, stronger than diamonds in the mountain's core
springing like clear water into a river's brook quenching a fertile valley.
Here I'm sitting in the valley and my eyes at darkness.
I do not see a flying bird,
no tree
nor weed.
Just hearing words.
Words that are spoken by others,
used and worn out until destruction,
and how would they know?
They have also not seen a thing,
only guided by the words of some anonymous watcher.
Maybe he lied, or just went wrong?
And left me captive, alienated, on a cruel cranny rock.

I would like to hold the word
To open my eyes and see.
I'm not sure about this one.
It's a very raw matterial that I wrote.
The idea came to me when I started to wonder:
As an artist, I am a creator. But what kind of creator am I when I can't master the literal word?!
Well, you just tell me what you think... and please tell me if I'm, even slightly, getting the idea of writing a poem...

Original Hebrew writings on the preview.

Edit (14.3.05): I changed control into master, seem to mach better to the origin.

The poem embodies the feeling that drive me to write as often as I do. People think I'm crazy; if I go too long without writing I get irritable. I guess it's my own personal addiction. *shrugs*

Anyway, nice poem.
